Job summary

Mascoutah CUSD 19l is seeking dedicated Instructional Aides for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions support teachers, help students meet goals, and foster a positive learning environment. Workdays total 177 per year with a 7.25 hour day, times vary by location.

Requires IL paraprofessional license, associate degree or higher, or HS diploma with ACT WorkKeys or Parapro test. Must be at least 19, excellent communication, able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid IL paraprofessional license.
• Associate’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution; 60 semester hours; HS Diploma or GED plus Parapro score 460 or ACT WorkKeys.
• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to work with teachers and the public.
• Enforce school regulations and policies professionally.
• Maintain good working relationships with staff and students.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 10 lbs.
• Must be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional tasks and varied strategies.
• Help students with academic tasks and assignments.
• Support individual student goals and progress monitoring.
• Foster a positive classroom environment and manage behavior under supervision.
• Assist with classroom materials, transitions, and organization.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
