Job summary

Services for the UnderServed is seeking an Assistant Program Director (APD) to ensure that individuals receive necessary supports to live meaningful lives in their homes and communities. The role requires coordinating healthcare, transportation, and activities to promote independence and safety.

You will supervise DSPs and Shift Supervisors, mentor staff, and ensure regulatory compliance while aligning supports with residents’ needs and goals. Competitive benefits and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field is required or five years’ supervisory/management experience in ID/DD settings.
• Effective written and oral communication skills are essential.
• AMAP, SCIP-R and CPR/First Aid are preferred; on‑the‑job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Promotes independence and self-determination using person-centered practices.
• Manages holistic healthcare, nutrition, and wellness across individuals and coordinates with CMS and medical staff.
• Coordinates recreation and community activities to support participation and independence.
• Supervise staff, assign appropriate ratios, and mentor as needed.
• Ensure health and safety requirements and maintain a safe, engaging living environment.
• Coordinate transportation for residents and manage personal property access.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies within required timeframes.
