Job summary

Mission Healthcare, located in the western United States, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for home health. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to deliver skilled therapy, aiming to relieve pain, restore function, and improve mobility for patients at home.

The role requires an accredited PTA program graduate with licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license. Competitive benefits and starting pay of $39/hour are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an Associate's degree.
• Current Physical Therapy certification or license as required by state law.
• Current BLS, hands-on CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy according to the directions of Physical Therapist and plan of care.
• Treat patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Direct and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, gait and functional training, and prosthetic training.
• Utilize physical agents (heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, massage).
• Observe and report patient responses and changes in condition to PT and staff.
• Instruct patients in care and use of mobility devices.
