Job summary

Humana, Inc. through CenterWell Home Health seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver therapy under the supervision of a licensed OT, following a patient’s Plan of Treatment at a home health setting.

The role involves implementing rehab activities, designing adaptable environments, fabricating assistive devices, and educating patients and families on home programs to promote independence and safety.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• OTA licensure is current and unrestricted.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services planned, delegated and supervised by the qualified Occupational Therapist in accordance with the patient's Plan of Treatment.
• Assist in implementing vocational/education programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance task performance.
• Design/adapt equipment and living environments to support independence.
• Fabricate devices to assist function and participation in the program and community when possible.
• Deliver therapeutic treatment per physician orders to improve strength, ROM and function.
• Document observations in patient records and prepare clinical notes.
