Job summary

Optum, part of the UnitedHealth Group family, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled in-home therapy under a licensed OT. You will implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes in compliance with physician orders and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate holds an ACOTE-accredited OTA program, NBCOT eligibility, and CPR certification, with at least one year of OTA experience.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant, specific to the state.
• Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant program, ACOTE-accredited.
• Eligible to take NBCOT entry-level certification exam.
• One year OTA experience or regional clinical leaders' approval for less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled interventions per physician-approved plan of care under OT supervision.
• Documents each visit per AOTA guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Observes and reports patient response and changes to supervising OT and staff.
• Provides resources for future ADL/IADL needs for patient/caregiver.
• Promotes wellness and occupational engagement; coordinates with care team.
• Keeps up-to-date on OT trends and care coordination aspects.
