Qualifications

• State Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Master's Degree in Special Education.
• Previous successful special education teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments, testing and diagnostic examinations to identify learning issues and plan corrective actions.
• Participates in PPTs and assists in developing IEPs for students.
• Supports implementation of IEPs and behavior plans.
• Coordinates with outside agencies and authorities as needed.
• Communicates with families and school staff to support student progress.
