Job summary

Downingtown Area School District seeks a certified Elementary Special Education - Learning Support teacher for Brandywine Wallace Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, permanent position supports students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative district environment.

The role focuses on providing specialized instruction, developing IEP-based interventions, and coordinating services with district staff and outside agencies to ensure student success.

Qualifications

Must hold Pennsylvania certification for the position.
Experience with developing and implementing IEPs and supporting diverse learners.
Able to adapt hours to meet student needs and manage a classroom effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction and support to special education students per IEP.
Develop lesson plans and materials addressing individual needs.
Coordinate services with district staff and outside agencies; prepare essential documents.
Collect and report data, monitor progress for students on caseload.
