Orange County Head Start is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Teacher Assistant EHS in Buena Park, CA. The role supports EHS teachers to ensure continuity of care and development for preschool children, while engaging families through home visits and conferences.

Qualifications

• A valid California CD A Teacher Permit or 12 ECE units including core courses and 3 Infant/Toddler units.
• Experience in early childhood settings preferred.
• Fluency in English; Spanish or Vietnamese may be required due to community needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist EHS Teachers to ensure continuity of care and promote bonding between caregivers and children.
• Help plan and implement learning experiences that support development across domains.
• Document child progress with observations and input from families and staff.
• Prepare daily attendance, meal counts, drills, and safety checklists.
• Communicate with parents during home visits and conferences to set goals for each child.
