Job summary

Easter Seals Southern California is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support adults with developmental disabilities in a licensed residential home. You will help with daily living activities, coordinate routines, and participate in outings to foster independence.

Responsibilities include personal care, medication administration, and documentation. The role requires CPR/First Aid and DSP certifications, with travel up to 20% locally as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• DSP-I and DSP-II certification required or must be attained within first year of hire.
• CPR, CPI and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care for adults including eating, hygiene, showering, and clothing; assists with meals and G-tube feeding if needed.
• Assists in medication administration and monitoring.
• Cares for the residential home through housekeeping and clothing laundering.
• Conducts activities to develop residents’ living skills per IPP/ISP goals and provides engagement.
• Completes daily reports and attends required trainings and meetings.
• May use a company vehicle to transport to health appointments and activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
