Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Manchester, NJ. The DSP helps with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to enable independent living.

Flexible schedules, weekly pay, and a $1,000 signing bonus are offered. Starting pay ranges from $23/hour (non-acuity) to $33/hour (acuity), with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments after

Qualifications

• Provide compassionate caregiving and support for individuals with IDD to help them live independently.
• Assist with activities of daily living and community participation.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with team and families as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with clients and help them achieve personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support clients in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and development of new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
