Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Concord, NC to provide compassionate care and daily living support for individuals with IDD. DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to promote independence.

Paid training, weekly pay, and a $1,000 signing bonus are offered. Starting pay is $15.40 per hour with flexible schedules including full-time and part-time roles.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
