RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional (Behavioral Health) to support individuals with mental health and behavioral health challenges at home and in the community. The DSP will implement tailored services, understand personal backgrounds, and promote empowerment under supervision.

The role involves assisting with daily living, accompanying to activities, promoting wellness, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pass pre-employment screening.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsabilités

• Assist individuals in identifying and communicating needs for services and support.
• Educate on wellness practices and promote healthy lifestyles.
• Encourage self-advocacy and individual choice.
• Accompany individuals to community activities to promote social engagement.
• Develop independent living skills to enhance daily self-sufficiency.
• Provide safe transportation to appointments and activities.
• Foster inclusivity and positive relationships within the community.
• Support decision-making about living arrangements, employment, and social relationships.
• Assist with personal care tasks and household chores to maintain a comfortable living environment.
• Document services to ensure accurate records and effective communication.
• Connect individuals to resources for career exploration, education, volunteering, and personal growth.
• Promote respectful and clear communication to meet individual needs.
• Administer medications when allowed by state regulations and ensure safety.
