Job summary

Delta-T Group seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide care and instruction to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Queens-area group home. Shifts are available part-time and full-time, with some weekends.

Compensation is $19-$20 per hour, paid weekly, as an independent contractor. The role emphasizes promoting growth, assisting with daily nutrition and medications, and transporting clients to appointments, while complying with required clearances and

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass mandated clearances.
• Must be comfortable toileting.
• Valid Driver's License is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth.
• Ensure activities foster growth to each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
• Deliver care in a climate of normalization, care and concern.
• Assist Consumers with daily nutrition and their medications (as needed).
• Transport Consumers to appointments (as needed).
