GOWO Affordable Care LLC in Madison, TN seeks a dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with disabilities. You will support daily living activities, assist with personal care, document progress, and collaborate with the care team.

In this role, you will transport clients to appointments and community activities, help with meals, and support ISPs while maintaining health and safety. A strong communicator with patience is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with IDD.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately.
• Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and social outings.
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions per established care plans.
• Encourage skill-building, independence, and community integration.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals.
