Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional (FT, 1st shift) in North Carolina. You will support people with disabilities in the community and home, promoting independence and chosen outcomes.

You’ll assist with personal care, transportation, and community activities, while documenting care and protecting confidentiality. CPR/First Aid training and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience handling conflicts and advocating for individuals in care settings.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with documentation and scheduling.
• Strong communication and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Able to maintain regular attendance and reliability in a full-time role.
• Respect for the rights and dignity of individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide education on human, legal, and civil rights.
• Promote healthy living and prevent illness and accidents.
• Increase awareness of self-advocacy and support individual choice.
• Accompany individuals to work, events, and community outings.
• Teach independent living skills and assist with personal care when needed.
