Qualifications

• Background checks, onboarding, and training are required.
• Reliable transportation and driving credentials when needed.
• Interest or experience in mentoring, coaching, education, recreation, or caregiving is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Spend time in the community participating in recreation, exercise, errands, events, hobbies, volunteering, or other meaningful activities.
• Coach daily living, social, communication, problem-solving, and independence skills.
• Help build routines, confidence, self-advocacy, and greater community connection.
• Support progress toward individualized goals while respecting the person’s choices and preferences.
• Provide companionship and model appropriate communication and relationships.
• Assist with daily routines or other support needs depending on the assignment.
• Maintain safety, follow individualized support instructions, and communicate concerns promptly.
• Complete required documentation and maintain reliable attendance and communication.
