COWETA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a dedicated Support Staff/Interpreter to facilitate communication for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing at Northgate High and Poplar Road Elementary. Qualified candidates must hold a valid Educational Interpreter License or equivalent qualifications. Responsibilities include interpreting lectures and participating in IEP meetings, ensuring effective learning and communication within the school environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Educational Interpreter License from the GA Professional Standards Commission.
• Successful completion of the EIPA with minimum score of 3.5.
• Valid certificate through RID.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication using sign language and other resources.
• Support students who are deaf to be independent in school activities.
• Participate in IEP meetings as needed.
