Job summary

BAYADA Habilitation is seeking compassionate individuals to join our Kauai team as Habilitation Technicians—Companions/Buddies who support people with IDD in building independence.

This part-time role on Kauai offers paid training, a $20/hour pay rate, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus. You will help clients engage in activities, develop daily living skills, and stay safe in home and community settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Age 18+ to qualify.
• Patience, empathy and dedication to empower individuals with IDD.
• No prior experience required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build one-on-one relationships with clients with flexible scheduling.
• Assist with activities that build independence (exercise, hobbies, community events).
• Support clients in daily living skills such as budgeting, socializing, shopping, and transportation.
• Provide care with dignity, respect, and attentiveness to each individual's needs.
• Promote safety and well-being in home and community settings.
