BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Habilitation Technician to work as a Companion/Buddy in Kauai. This part-time role offers a meaningful chance to help individuals with disabilities live independently with support in their local community.

Companions provide mentorship, participate in activities, and assist with daily tasks at the client’s pace. No prior experience required, and training is provided to empower people to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• Patience, empathy and dedication are essential.
• Willingness to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Ability to build trusting one-on-one relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build long lasting relationships in a one-on-one setting a few hours a week.
• Support clients in pursuing hobbies and independence.
• Assist with budgeting, socializing, shopping, and transportation.
