Job summary

BBH Burrell Behavioral Health seeks a Community Support Specialist in Springfield, MO to provide community-based mental health services to adults. You will conduct assessments, aid in diagnosis, and help develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals.

You will work closely with clients, families, and professionals using Motivational Interviewing and CBT/DBT approaches to empower independence and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with two years of related work experience.
• Any four-year combination of higher education and two years of related work experience.
• Associate's of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support fulfills education requirements.
• Four years of qualifying experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based mental health services to adults, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention implementation.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize a strengths-based approach with Motivational Interviewing, CBT/DBT strategies.
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and community organizations.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress per policies.
• Participate in staff development to enhance youth mental health service knowledge and skills.
• Work with team members to ensure coordinated care and support for clients.
