Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO is seeking a Community Support Specialist to empower adults and their families through community-based mental health services.

You will collaborate with clients, families, and professionals to develop individualized plans and coordinate care across providers, using evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT/DBT, and trauma-informed strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field; or equivalent
• Unrelated degree with 2+ years related work experience
• AS in Behavioral Health Support also qualifies
• Four years of qualifying experience accepted as alternative

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based mental health services to adults, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention implementation.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and other stakeholders to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, schools, and community organizations.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and progress.
• Participate in staff development activities to enhance knowledge of youth mental health services.
• Work with team members to ensure coordinated care and support for clients.
