Job summary

Katy ISD King Elementary in Katy, Texas is seeking a 4th Grade Bilingual (English/Spanish) teacher who can deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction to a diverse student body. You will report to the campus principal and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the grade and subjects, and ESL certification for K‑5.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• ESL certification required for K-5 RLA or self contained special education or general education classroom assignments.
• ESL certification preferred for Math, Science, Social Studies teaching assignments.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Student teaching or approved internship.
• Physically able to monitor student discipline and progress and to meet other student needs as required.
• Physically able to move about the room to perform formative assessments and facilitate small and large group instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and policies.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Collaborate with staff to plan instructional goals and best practices.
• Design learning experiences using digital tools to promote creativity.
• Assist in selecting books, equipment, and other instructional materials.
• Plan and monitor student growth with assessments and adapt delivery accordingly.
• Sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned.
