Job summary

HAYES ELEMENTARY in Katy, Texas is seeking a 4th Grade Self-Contained teacher to join Katy ISD. The role reports to the principal and requires a valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the assigned subject and level.

The ideal candidate will hold ESL certification (required for K-5 RLA or related special/general education assignments) and possess strong classroom management and communication skills. Position is full-time with standard teacher duties and obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• ESL certification required for K-5 RLA or self contained special education or general education classroom assignments
• ESL certification preferred for Math, Science, Social Studies teaching assignments
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior as described in job requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and policies.
• Differentiate instruction to reflect accommodations for learning styles.
• Collaborate with staff to plan instructional goals and best practices.
• Utilize digital tools to promote student learning and creativity.
• Assist in selection of books and materials and monitor student progress
