Job summary

Gallup-McKinley County Schools seeks an Athletic Coach for the John F. Kennedy Middle School track program. The coach will develop athletes through fundamental skills, strategy, and conditioning to achieve team success.

The role requires an Athletic Coaching License (7-12) or ability to obtain one. Candidates must be prepared to work evenings and weekends and supervise assistant coaches under the athletic director and principals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Athletic Coaching License 7-12 or ability to obtain license.
• Must organize and supervise a total sports program; lead and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training for team success.
• Serve as role model and promote character, self-discipline and pride in student athletes.
• Coordinate with athletic director and principals; oversee coaches and staff.
• Evenings and weekends work required to support sports season.
