• Requires California Education Specialist Credential in Visual Impairment (VI).
• Requires California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Orientation & Mobility (O&M).
• Experience working with students with visual impairments.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized vision education to students with visual impairments.
• Deliver direct, consultative, and assessment-based services.
• Develop instructional strategies and support IEP/IFSP goals.
• Teach Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC): assistive tech, self-advocacy, independent living, social participation.
• Adapt instructional materials for accessible learning environments.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and related service providers.
