Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Pennsylvania is hiring a Behavioral Health School Based Coach to deliver strength-based behavioral health and wellness coaching for students in the McKeesport Area School District. You will collaborate with families, school staff and treatment teams to support student success and safety.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a social services field plus 2+ years of school-based experience, excellent communication, and a PA driver's license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a social services field and 2+ years experience in a school or higher level of care.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• Valid PA Class I driver’s license and required clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide strength-based behavioral health and wellness coaching to students, families, and school staff within assigned settings.
• Help students develop coping skills and positive behavior strategies to improve academics and social-emotional outcomes.
• Respond to concerning behaviors using de-escalation techniques and coordinate with school staff for safety.
• Participate in student case conferences with caregivers and treatment teams to support success.
• Assist in creating and implementing behavior support plans and evidence-based interventions.
• Connect students and families to community resources and document outcomes and reporting.
