Job summary

Child Mind Institute, Inc. is seeking a Reading Coach within the School & Community Programs to deliver an evidence-based reading intervention (Sound Partners) for kindergarten through second grade in New York City.

This 16–18 hour per week, on-site role requires collaboration with teachers and families, family intake meetings, progress updates, and data-driven instruction across partner schools on Staten Island and NYC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an evidence-based reading intervention (Sound Partners) for kindergarten through second grade.
• Plan and lead small group lessons for 10–12 students, meeting regularly during the school year and summer.
• Conduct family intake meetings by phone or in person to gather background information and obtain consent.
• Foster engagement with teachers and families and provide progress updates throughout cycles.
• Administer pre- and post-intervention assessments and use data to inform instruction.
• Maintain accurate attendance, contact, and progress records.
• Participate in weekly supervision to ensure fidelity of program implementation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
