Job summary

Jay Nolan Community Services seeks Direct Support Professionals to empower individuals with autism and developmental disabilities to live independently at home and in the community. You will provide one-to-one support, model positive interaction, and help clients achieve personal goals with dignity and choice.

Role emphasizes relationship-building, safety, and daily living activities, including accompanying clients to activities and supporting personal hygiene as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field is required.
• Experience with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance (case by case).

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one direct support to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities to promote independence.
• Mentor and model socially acceptable ways to interact and support each other.
• Assist individuals at home and in the community with daily routines and safety.

Education

Bachelor's degree in education / psychology / counseling / nursing / social work / ABA or related human services field
