Job summary

Merakey is seeking an Employment Training Specialist for Elizabethville, PA. This PRN role offers flexible, as-needed hours and pay options of $20.00–$22.00 per hour, with enhanced pay available.

You will provide individualized support to individuals pursuing competitive, integrated employment, helping them reach career goals, gain independence, and build meaningful connections in their communities and workplaces.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must obtain ACRE Certification within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess strengths, interests, skills, and goals to develop employment plans.
• Identify and address barriers to employment; assist with job searches, resume, interview skills, and workplace etiquette.
• Provide individualized job coaching and skills training; support learning job tasks and workplace adaptation.
• Collaborate with employers to support successful employment outcomes and accommodations as needed.
• Maintain regular communication with the support team and monitor progress.
• Remain current on supported employment best practices and obtain ACRE Certification as required.

Pay Rate: Earn 20.00 per hr and 22.00per hr w election of enhanced pay option

The Employment Training Specialist provides individualized support to people pursuing competitive, integrated employment. This role focuses on helping individuals achieve meaningful career goals, increase independence, and build successful connections within their communities and workplaces.

This position serves individuals throughout the Elizabethville areas. Work schedules are flexible and based on individual employment needs, with most services occurring between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking flexible, supplemental employment.

• Assess individual strengths, interests, skills, and employment goals. Develop individualized employment plans that support job attainment and long-term success.
• Identify and address barriers to employment. Assist with job searches, resume preparation, interview skills, workplace etiquette, and social skills development. Research employment opportunities aligned with individual preferences and abilities. Establish and maintain relationships with local employers.
• Provide individualized job coaching and skills training. Support individuals in learning job tasks and adapting to workplace expectations. Promote successful workplace integration and retention.
• Collaborate with employers to support successful employment outcomes. Identify and implement reasonable workplace accommodations when needed. Provide training and consultation to employers as appropriate.
• Work closely with individuals, families, support coordinators, employers, and community partners to ensure successful employment outcomes.
• Promote equal employment opportunities and community inclusion. Advocate for the rights and interests of individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Monitor employment progress and track outcomes.
• Complete accurate, timely, and detailed service documentation and progress notes.
• Maintain regular communication with all members of the support team.
• Remain current on supported employment best practices and industry trends. Obtain and maintain ACRE Certification as required.
