Job summary

Pro Resources Staffing Services is seeking an Employment and Training Advisor to provide employment, education, and training services to job seekers and employers in Grant County, IN. The role is full-time and permanent with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The successful candidate will conduct meetings, assess needs, develop ACPs, facilitate workshops, and guide clients through tools like ICE, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up to measure outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of professional work experience.
  • Experience with the workforce development system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers one-on-one or in groups to identify barriers to employment.
  • Enter required applicant information into the Customer Case Management System.
  • Complete needs assessments to identify customers' skills, aptitudes, interests, and supportive service needs to help them meet their employment goals.
  • Prepare and administer testing/assessments, including selecting appropriate tools, proctoring tests, and interpreting results for each customer.
  • Develop Academic Career Plans (ACPs) with customers that establish career goals and detail plans for WorkOne services, skill development, and job search strategies; update plans as needed.
  • Facilitate and arrange for customers to attend employment-seeking activities, including in-house job search workshops and activities at community agencies or training institutions.
  • Assist customers with accessing self-help and informational resources such as the Indiana Career Explorer (ICE), and review/interpret results to guide service decisions.
  • Determine customer eligibility for workforce services and maintain proper documentation of customer information, activities, and case notes.
  • Conduct formal follow-up with exited customers to collect outcome information and assess the need for additional WorkOne services and support.
  • Attend staff meetings, submit required reports, interpret program information, and make policy and procedural recommendations.
