MRCI is seeking an Employment Specialist II in Burnsville, MN to coach, train, and support a caseload of clients with disabilities and disadvantages. You will collaborate with employers and community partners to place individuals in meaningful employment.

The role requires strong communication skills, flexibility, and a solution‑driven approach, with opportunities to work with diverse industries and a supportive team. The position includes a robust benefits package and holidays off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus two years of related work experience, preferably with individuals with disabilities.
• Degree in human services or social services with minimum one year of related experience.
• Experience with group facilitation and 1:1 training (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Support a caseload of 30+ clients, including assessments, skill training, job placement, and follow‑along services
• Receive referrals and coordinate employment-related activities
• Complete and maintain client documentation per licensing and accreditation requirements
• Transport clients as needed
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, employers, funders, co-workers, and community members
• Develop knowledge of multiple industries and maintain a professional network
• Use technology to ensure timely and accurate communication
• Work independently while contributing effectively to a team
• Track employment progress and outcomes with strong attention to detail
