Description
PURPOSE: To assist persons with disabilities/disadvantages to obtain and retain community-based competitive employment through provision of on-the-job training and ongoing support services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Contact employers to perform job development and job analysis.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with community employers.
- Assist in matching participants with jobs.
- Conduct one-to-one training on the job.
- Maintain waiver compliance for all persons served by waiver funding programs through ODP.
- Provide support services to meet individual participant needs.
- Assist participants in adjusting to social environment on the job.
- Act as an advocate for program participants in the workplace and community.
- Record data regarding training time, approach, characteristics, and progress of participants.
- Maintain working relationships with OVR, support coordination agencies, and county IDD offices.
- Complete ACRE training within the state-mandated deadline.
- Perform related duties as requested.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare Weekly Plan (copy to supervisor by 11:00 a.m. on Friday).
- Participate in a minimum of 24 hours of applicable annual training.
- Perform related duties as requested.
RELATIONS:
- Receives direct supervision from the Vice President of Mission Services and Senior Employment Specialist(s).
- Provides direct supervision for participants in on-the-job training.

Qualifications
- Degree in Human Service field preferred; experience working with individuals with disabilities/disadvantages accepted.
- Good work habits, such as acceptable attitude, attendance, and punctuality.
- Respond appropriately to supervision.
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and 3-year clean MVR.
- Clean Criminal History, Child Abuse, and Fingerprinting Clearances.
