Job summary

Audubon Area Community Services, inc. is seeking an Employment Specialist (FT) for the Kentucky Works and SNAP E&T program in Hopkinsville, KY. The role requires coordinating TANF and SNAP E&T referrals and placing clients with participating employers, with day trips travel as part of the role.

Salary starts at $17.19–$18.61 per hour. This full-time position reports to the Regional Manager and is based on 1st shift, with travel required for day trips.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Human Services, or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Travel is required for day trips.
• Duties include accepting referrals from the Cabinet and placing clients with participating employers.

Job Skills / Requirements

Starting wages: $17.19 - $18.61 hourly. Will prepare recipients of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Employment and Training Program (SNAP E&T) for self-sufficiency through skill development, education, work-based learning, career counseling, employment training, and job placement. Duties include accepting referrals from the Cabinet and placing clients with participating employers. Travel is required. This project is funded under a contract with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services with state and federal funds.

An associate degree in business, human services, or a related field or two years of related experience is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
