Employment Specialist $2500 retention bonus

This position is eligible for a $2500 retention bonus.

Job Summary:

The Providence Center is seeking an Employment Specialist to coordinate vocational and employment services following the Individual, Placement, Support (IPS) model, working with a multi-disciplinary team to support individuals in finding and maintaining employment of their choice.

Working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with a one-hour lunch break.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Orient referred individuals to Employment Services, including available services, goals, and philosophies; complete intakes and schedule follow-ups promptly.
  • Administer assessments and evaluations or refer appropriately.
  • Begin job development within 30 days of intake.
  • Develop and implement personalized employment and treatment plans based on evaluations, strengths, barriers, and client goals.
  • Participate as a team member in ICTT, outpatient teams, and WEE, communicating effectively to coordinate services.
  • Coordinate with the Office of Rehabilitation Services for referrals, intakes, job placement, retention, and reporting.
  • Place individuals in supported employment settings aligned with their strengths and preferences.
  • Meet established individual and team goals.
  • Lead employment-related classes and workshops to assist clients.
  • Provide direct services such as job coaching, on-site supports, transportation, and life skills.
  • Collaborate in developing therapeutic services, including working with substance abusers.
  • Transport clients as needed using personal vehicle or Center van.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIS and confidentiality policies.
  • Build cooperative relationships with staff, clients, community agencies, and the public.
  • Communicate with local agencies and internal departments.
  • Attend trainings, conferences, and mandatory in-service sessions.
  • Engage actively in professional organizations as appropriate.
  • Work flexible hours to support coaching and networking needs.
  • Serve on relevant Providence Center committees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in vocational or employment services preferred.
  • Experience with psychiatric disabilities preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and insured vehicle required.
  • Marketing experience is a plus.
