Job summary

Westhab is seeking a Workshop Facilitator to provide intensive case management, employment readiness, and supportive services within a Queens-based shelter program. You’ll lead work readiness workshops, identify barriers to employment, and coordinate services to help residents prepare for and secure jobs with a career path.

Successful candidates will have strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to empowering adults facing barriers.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Human Services or Social Work, or extensive relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience serving disadvantaged adults.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; maintain confidentiality.
• Experience delivering training or workshops preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct program orientation and intake.
• Assess needs and barriers to employment using interviews.
• Assist with referrals to GED and vocational training.
• Deliver work readiness workshops and related supportive services.
• Support placement in internships, apprenticeships, and jobs.
• Maintain documentation, confidentiality, and program records.
• Collaborate with employers and community partners.
