Job summary

IRC - International Rescue Committee seeks an Employment Supervisor to lead a team delivering employment services: assessment, self-sufficiency planning, job readiness training, job search and placement, plus post-placement support and employer partnerships.

You will ensure program quality, monitor grant deliverables, and support compliance across services. A university degree and 3+ years in related roles are required, with strong English communication and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• University degree required; preferably in International Studies, Business, Social Services or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of employment or related experience supporting clients facing barriers to employment in refugee resettlement, workforce development, or related social service delivery.
• Experience supervising, supporting, and training staff.
• Proven ability to lead collaboration across cultures and work styles.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills in English; English proficiency is essential; other languages a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle; ability to travel regularly within the service delivery area.

Responsibilities

• Staff Management: Lead and develop direct service staff; supervise cases and workload; ensure policy compliance and quality service delivery.
• Client Services: Oversee program implementation including assessment, self-sufficiency planning, job readiness training, job search and placement; build employer partnerships.
• Program Oversight: Conduct quality assurance; monitor grant deliverables; draft program reports and grant components; manage spending.
• Other duties as assigned.
