Qualifications

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Hybrid: 3 days in-office

LHH is working with a dynamic and fast-paced employment litigation firm in Downtown Los Angeles, CA in seeking a skilled Paralegal with at least 3 years of experience in employment law. The role is hybrid, requiring three days onsite and two days remote per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated paralegal to join a collaborative legal team and contribute to high-impact litigation cases involving wage and hour claims, PAGA, and FLSA matters.

Responsibilities:

• Support attorneys throughout the litigation process, including case management from intake to trial preparation
• Draft and format legal documents including motions, notices, and correspondence
• Conduct cite checks and prepare Table of Authorities and Table of Contents (TOA/TOC)
• Manage discovery, including reviewing and organizing documents, preparing discovery responses, and coordinating with clients and experts
• Assist with legal research and compile evidence for use in court filings
• Help attorneys prepare for depositions, mediations, and hearings
• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and manage court filings (state and federal)
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in employment litigation (plaintiff or defense)
• Prior exposure to wage and hour, PAGA, and/or FLSA litigation strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of California civil procedure
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and assisting with motion preparation
• Confident in cite checking, TOA/TOC formatting, and legal formatting standards
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred
