Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. in Las Vegas seeks an Of Counsel attorney specializing in employment and labor law with extensive first-chair experience.

You will defend complex litigation, advise employers, and lead teams in court, arbitration, and mediations across a broad spectrum of employment matters. The ideal candidate has 9+ years of employment litigation, NV Bar admission, and a track record of managing senior associates and paralegals, with strong client counseling and strategic decision-making

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 9+ years of employment litigation experience, including managing and leading cases in a first-chair capacity.
• Current NV Bar admission in good standing.
• Supervisory experience over associates and paralegals (delegating assignments and providing feedback).
• Strong understanding of state and federal agency procedures and enforcement.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Defend and litigate employment-related lawsuits and agency charges.
• Advise and train employers on employment and labor law issues.
• Represent employers in court, arbitration, and mediations, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, and non-compete matters.

This position is for an Of Counsel attorney for the firm’s Las Vegas office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues
• Represent employers in court and arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases
• Class Action experience preferred but not required

Skills and Educational Requirements:

• JD from accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials
• 9+years of experience in employment litigation with significant experience managing and running litigation cases in a first-chair capacity
• Current NV Bar admission in good standing
• Supervisory experience over associate and paralegal work (delegating assignments and providing feedback)
• In-depth understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
