Base pay range

$170,000.00/yr - $260,000.00/yr

Global leader in the worldwide produce business looking for an experienced Counsel with a background in litigation and employment law.

In this role, you will report to the General Counsel and provide general legal support to rapidly expanding US and International commercial operations. The Counsel will serve as a strategic legal partner to the organization and support the diverse legal needs of the company, including litigation, regulatory and compliance, employment law, and international legal matters.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Drive company-wide compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Support Human Resources on employment related matters.
• Assist with litigation, regulatory, and compliance matters for both U.S. and international jurisdictions.
• Serve as primary liaison to international teams and work with international legal teams and local counsel to oversee legal matters.
• Oversee and manage pre-litigation, disputes, and litigation matters.
• Oversee privacy matters.
• Assist with transactional, corporate, and/or securities matters, and department administrative matters, as necessary.

Qualifications

• US J.D. degree and a member of a state bar.
• 8+ years of relevant law firm and/or in-house experience, including litigation and employment law.
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Bonus points for transactional and/or international experience.
• Ability to understand complex issues, assess risk and provide concise business-focused legal advice.
