Job summary

Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law firm in San Francisco, seeks an Employment Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Labor & Employment practice. The position offers direct client interaction, mentorship from senior litigators, and exposure to single-plaintiff litigation, agency proceedings, and counseling matters.

Base salary starts at $255,000+ annually, with discretionary bonuses and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.
• At least 3 years of employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling day-to-day litigation responsibilities.
• Strong interest in trial work and litigation advocacy.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong oral communication and client-service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
• Superior academic credentials.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day management of employment litigation matters under the guidance of partners and senior attorneys.
• Represent employers in single-plaintiff employment litigation, administrative and agency proceedings, and employment-related disputes.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy analyses.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Advise clients on employment law compliance and workplace issues.
• Assist with employment counseling matters and risk management strategies.
• Work closely with clients to develop practical and business-focused solutions.
• Support matters through all phases of litigation and dispute resolution.
