Permanent Placements LLC represents a nationally recognized Am Law firm seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of sophisticated litigation experience to join its San Francisco office. The role offers exposure to complex commercial, business, and employment matters, with significant responsibility and direct client interaction within a collaborative and entrepreneurial practice.

The successful candidate will work with experienced litigators and handle high-stakes disputes

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active California Bar in good standing.
3–5 years of litigation experience.
Experience handling commercial, business, and employment litigation.
Strong research, analytical, and writing abilities.
Ability to work independently and handle significant responsibility.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Professional presence with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in complex commercial, business, and employment litigation.
Manage all phases of litigation: assessment, discovery, depositions, motions, court appearances, mediation, and trial prep.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other filings.
Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues.
Develop litigation strategy and provide practical client guidance.
Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on disputes.
Manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive counsel.
