Qualifications

Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C.is seeking anEmployment Litigation Associate Attorneyfor its Seattle office to focus on management-side employment and labor law.

This position requires a minimum of5 years of employment litigation experience, including experience representing clients in wage and hour class actions, state and federal court proceedings, administrative agency matters, and alternative dispute resolution. Candidates with more extensive employment law experience and an existing client base are also encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Washington.

Position Overview

OMW emphasizes a collaborative, team-oriented approach to delivering high-quality legal services. The ideal candidate will be a skilled litigator with strong legal research and writing abilities and a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal employment law. The successful candidate will be dependable, an excellent communicator, and possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and empathy. This role may also include conducting workplace investigations.

  • Represent employers in a wide range of employment litigation matters.
  • Handle wage and hour class actions and complex employment disputes.
  • Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts.
  • Manage all phases of discovery.

  • Conduct workplace investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, ethics code violations, and police misconduct.
  • Advise employers on employment agreements, severance agreements, policy development, and employment law compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop practical and effective legal solutions.

Compensation

Base Salary:$145,000 - $175,000 annually

Additional compensation opportunities include:
