This role requires at least 5 years of employment litigation experience, including wage and hour class actions, and WA state licensure. The ideal candidate will be a skilled litigator with strong research and writing abilities and knowledge of local, state, and federal employment law.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of employment litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in Washington.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience in state and federal court litigation.
• Experience handling administrative agency proceedings (EEOC, Washington Human Rights Commission).
• Experience with wage and hour class actions.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a wide range of employment litigation matters.
• Handle wage and hour class actions and complex employment disputes.
• Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts.
• Manage all phases of discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Represent clients before administrative agencies, including the EEOC and Washington Human Rights Commission.
• Conduct workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, ethics code violations, and police misconduct.

Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C.is seeking anEmployment Litigation Associate Attorneyfor its Seattle office to focus on management-side employment and labor law.

This position requires a minimum of5 years of employment litigation experience, including experience representing clients in wage and hour class actions, state and federal court proceedings, administrative agency matters, and alternative dispute resolution. Candidates with more extensive employment law experience and an existing client base are also encouraged to apply.

Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Washington.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will be a skilled litigator with strong legal research and writing abilities and a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal employment law. The successful candidate will be dependable, an excellent communicator, and possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and empathy. This role may also include conducting workplace investigations.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a wide range of employment litigation matters.
• Handle wage and hour class actions and complex employment disputes.
• Draft and argue motions in state and federal courts.
• Manage all phases of discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Represent clients before administrative agencies, including the EEOC and Washington Human Rights Commission.
• Conduct workplace investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, ethics code violations, and police misconduct.
• Advise employers on employment agreements, severance agreements, policy development, and employment law compliance.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop practical and effective legal solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of employment litigation experience.
• Washington State Bar license required.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience in state and federal court litigation.
• Experience handling administrative agency proceedings and alternative dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively while managing cases independently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation

Base Salary:$145,000 - $175,000 annually

Additional compensation opportunities include:
