Job summary

Orionplacement in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced employment litigator to represent management-side clients across wage-hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related disputes. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement and a strong professional development culture.

You will manage cases from intake to resolution in state and federal courts, draft motions, handle discovery, and represent clients before agencies like the EEOC and Washington Human Rights Commission.

Qualifications

  • WA bar admission required.
  • 4+ years of employment litigation experience required.
  • Management-side employment law experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with state and federal court proceedings, administrative agency matters, and ADR.
  • Strong legal research, writing, oral advocacy, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage litigation matters independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Excellent judgment, dependability, emotional intelligence, and empathy.
  • Experience with wage and hour class actions valued.
  • Existing client relationships or portable book of business welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Represent management-side clients in a broad range of employment and labor disputes.
  • Handle employment litigation matters in WA state and federal courts from case assessment through resolution.
  • Draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and take and defend depositions.
  • Represent clients before administrative agencies, including the EEOC and WA Human Rights Commission.
  • Handle wage and hour class actions and other complex employment litigation.
  • Advise clients on wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, ADA, FMLA, non-compete, trade secret, and related matters.
  • Conduct workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, ethics violations, and other sensitive concerns.
  • Provide practical employment counseling involving agreements, severance, policies, and compliance.
  • Conduct sophisticated legal research and prepare briefs, pleadings, and other documents.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop efficient strategies for resolving disputes.
