Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a litigation associate to join our plaintiff-side employment practice in Atlanta. You will handle employment law matters, perform research, draft motions and briefs, and take part in depositions and hearings.

This hybrid role requires Florida Bar admission, 1+ year of litigation experience, and a willingness to work from our Atlanta office at least 3 days per week. We offer health insurance, paid time off, and a collaborative trial-focused team.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Bar license is required.
• 1+ year of litigation experience is required.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred; Georgia Bar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle employment law matters including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related claims.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive writing, motions, briefs, and other filings.
• Take and defend depositions; participate in hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Develop understanding of each client's circumstances through client communication.
• Gather, analyze, and master facts to build effective litigation strategies.
• Assist with commercial litigation and class actions as opportunities arise.
• Collaborate on case strategy, discovery, negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Prepare matters thoroughly with trial readiness.

Note: An active Florida Bar license and 1+ year of litigation experience are required. Georgia Bar membership and 2+ years of civil litigation experience are preferred, but not required. Qualifications

• 1+ year of litigation experience is required.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience is preferred.
• Georgia Bar membership is preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients and developing a detailed understanding of their cases.
• Strong attention to detail, patience, judgment, and organizational skills.
• Former public defenders with trial experience and a strong interest in civil litigation are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to work from the Atlanta office at least 3 days per week.
