Job summary

Jackson Lewis P.C. in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an Associate attorney to defend and litigate employment-related claims with a focus on workplace law for management clients.

Responsibilities include advising employers, counseling on policy development, and representing employers in court, arbitration, and mediation, including class/collective actions and wage-hour matters. CA Bar admission and 4–6 years of employment law experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 4–6 years of employment law experience preferred.
• Active California Bar admission in good standing.
• Strong written and oral communication, attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Defend and litigate employment-related lawsuits and agency charges.
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on employment and labor law issues.
• Represent employers in court, arbitration, and mediations, including class/collective actions.
• Manage cases involving wage-hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and non-compete matters.
