Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a People Legal (Employment Law) Case Manager to lead end-to-end investigations, strategy, and defense across the Americas. You will manage agency charges, conduct thorough fact-finding, interview witnesses, and draft precise legal responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of dedicated experience in substantive employment law or legal case management.
• Proven experience handling EEOC/state agency discrimination and retaliation charges.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to distill complex facts into clear executive summaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end investigation, strategy, and defense for single-plaintiff employment disputes in the Americas.
• Manage federal, state, and local agency charges, attorney demands, and arbitration demands.
• Conduct internal investigations, interview witnesses, gather records, and synthesize timelines.
• Draft agency statements, mediation briefs, demand letters, and dispute summaries reflecting facts and Cisco’s defense strategy.
• Prepare Cisco’s corporate representative for agency conferences, mediations, arbitrations, or depositions as needed.
• Oversee discovery processes and coordinate with eDiscovery for legal holds and data preservation.
• Identify workplace trends from case data and collaborate with HR to refine internal policies.
