Morrison Foerster's Employment + Labor Group seeks a litigation-focused attorney with 4–6 years of experience to advise clients on compliance, investigations, and complex disputes at the firm’s California offices.

You will defend wage-hour, discrimination, and class actions, conduct workplace investigations, and negotiate executive agreements, with strong opportunities for growth in a premier firm.

Qualifications

Who You Are

• You have top academic credentials with 4 – 6 years of experience in, with litigation at the core of your practice:
  • Providing high-level advice and counsel to clients on a day-to-day basis on employment law compliance issues.
  • Litigating trade secret/employee mobility, whistleblower (SOX, Dodd Frank), and defending companies in other high-stakes wrongful termination, employment discrimination and harassment and pay disputes.
  • Defending companies in complex employment actions in state and federal court, including wage and hour, discrimination, and pay equity class, collective and representative actions.
  • Conducting workplace investigations involving the C-suite and beyond.
  • Conducting due diligence of potential employment law issues and areas of exposure in mergers, acquisitions, financings, and other corporate transactions.
  • Negotiating executive employment, separation and similar agreements.
• You have strong writing and client relations skills, as well as the demonstrated ability to manage litigation on a day-to-day basis; draft and argue substantive briefs and motions; and take and defend depositions with limited supervision.
• You have trial experience (preferred but not required).
• You are admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or are eligible to waive in.
