The People Of: Professional Services is seeking an Employment & Labor Associate with 3+ years of relevant experience to join its Chicago management-side practice.

The successful candidate will advise and represent employers on labor and employment matters, including unions and the National Labor Relations Act, while maintaining direct client contact and participating in business development. Qualifications

• JD from a recognized law school and admission to practice.
• 3+ years of labor and employment experience in a law firm.
• Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Advise and represent employers on labor and employment matters
• Counsel clients on federal and state employment laws
• Handle traditional labor matters involving unions and organized workforces
• Advise employers on issues arising under the National Labor Relations Act
• Represent employers in connection with union-related matters
• Assist clients with day-to-day employment counseling and workforce issues
• Develop direct relationships with clients and take meaningful responsibility for matters
• Participate in professional and new client development opportunities
