The successful candidate will gain exposure to complex wage and hour class actions, PAGA representative actions, and individual employment disputes, alongside providing strategic day-to-day counseling to employers.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of sophisticated employment litigation, including:
• Wage and hour class actions
• PAGA representative actions
• Single-plaintiff employment disputes
• Federal and state court litigation
• Arbitration proceedings
• Manage matters through various stages of litigation, including discovery and motion practice
• Provide strategic employment counseling and day-to-day advice to employers
• Draft, review, and update employee handbooks and workplace policies
• Prepare and review onboarding and separation documentation
• Advise clients on leaves of absence and workplace accommodations
• Counsel employers regarding employee discipline and other workplace issues
• Work closely with partners and clients on complex employment matters

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of Employment & Labor experience
• Strong background in employment litigation
• Experience with wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions
• Experience litigating matters in California state and federal courts and arbitration
• Employment counseling and advisory experience
• Excellent legal research, analytical, and drafting skills
