Job summary

HELP USA is hiring an RRH Employment Specialist to support housing participants from homelessness or at risk to obtain employment. The role involves assessing interests and abilities to craft employment plans, providing counseling, and linking to job readiness, training, and placement programs for full-time or part-time unsubsidized work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field is required.
• Experience in vocational training, employment search and placement, case management, assessment, counseling or crisis intervention is preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and data entry are required.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess participants' education and employment history, abilities, interests, and aptitudes.
• Lead resume writing, interview preparation, and job-search readiness workshops.
• Provide individual and group counseling and referrals to employment/vocational programs.
• Coordinate with employers and training programs to facilitate job placements.
• Attend team meetings, supervision sessions, and community meetings; maintain HMIS documentation.
